One night, when Natalie was fast asleep, a pig trotted into the house, up the stairs, into Natalie’s bedroom …. And up her nose.

There’s a pig up my nose – John Dougherty

Class 89 Handwriting – Year 2

What do bumblebees wear on the beach?

Bee-kinis!

What happens to a Barbie doll if you leave her out in the sun too long?

She gets Barbie-cued!

What day of the week do fish hate most?

Fry-day!

Kid’s Silliest Riddles – Jacqueline Horsfall

Class 90 Handwriting – Year 3

FINALLY it was the school Sports Day and EVERYONE was excited about the Egg and Spoon race because that is everyone’s FAVOURITE Sports Dat activity. But we were all very SUSPICIOUS of Suzie Keys because she was being REALLY WEIRD about her EGG and wouldn’t let ANYONE come near it.

Wrigglesbottom Primary – Becka Moor

Class 91 Handwriting – Year 4

This is my friend Terry. We live in a tree. Well, when I say ‘tree’ I mean treehouse. And when I say ‘treehouse’, I don’t just mean any old tree house – I mean a 117 – storey treehouse. So what are you waiting for? Come on up! We’ve added a tiny-horse level, pyjama-party room, an Underpants Museum, a photo-bombing booth, and a waiting room.

The 117- Storey Treehouse – Andy Griffiths

Class 92 Handwriting – Year 5

I am Hawaii Joe. And my sunglasses are large. As is my polar bear. Whom I have named after the state fish of Hawaii Humuhumunukunukuapuaa.

“Come here, Humuhumunukunukuapuaa,” I say to my polar bear. “Because I am about to make an announcement to all of the employees of our detective agency. ( Well, it is not really our detective agency. It is MY detective agency. But I like to be inclusive so as not to offend the feelings of Humuhumunukunukuapuaa.)

Timmy Failure – Stephen Pastis

Class 93 Handwriting – Year 6

As gods, we don’t make a big fuss about birthdays, since we have so many of them, by Hyrrokkin thought Thor deserved celebrating and decreed that we make tomorrow Thor’s birthday party. When I asked why it couldn’t be mine, given we are supposed to be twins, she held up a piece of paper where she’d taken notes from the parents’ evening and told me that people who left rotting fish in their teachers’ desks did not deserve treats. “ Thor, meanwhile, proved himself worthy of celebration.”

Loki – Louie Stowell

Place the digestive biscuits in a freezer bag and bash with a rolling pin or just the side of your fist until they’re broken into a mixture of everything between dust and 50p-sized lumps. Set aside. In a large saucepan melt the butter or margarine, dark chocolate and golden syrup over a gentle heat stirring constantly until there are no or almost no more lumps of chocolate visible, then remove from the heat. Leave to cool. Take the biscuits and mini marshmallows and stir into the chocolate mixture until everything is completely covered. Tip the mixture into the lined baking tin, and spread it out to the corners. Chill for at least 2 hrs then dust with icing sugar and cut into 12 fingers (4 to be displayed).
