Classes 20-23 – Young Handler and Pet Lamb
Entry Fee: £1 per class,
Prize Money: 1st £10, 2nd £6, 3rd £4

Entries close Friday 24th July 2026 – No late entries accepted.
All classes will be conducted under current DEFRA regulations.
Judging to commence at 9.30am.
Exhibitor to remove all bedding before leaving the Show field.
Trophies will be presented in the livestock Secretaries’ tent after judging.
Cups to be held for one year only.
No Grand Parade of sheep.

Please note that sheep classes have been changed for 2026.
Due to space restrictions, a waiting list will be started when we reach the maximum sheep
entries, so please enter early. The maximum entries were reached for 2025.
Prize money will remain the same as was for 2025.
A fourth prize of £4 for Classes 1-19, will be awarded in any class with over ten entries.
A Challenge Cup kindly donated by the late W Craggs awarded to the Champion Continental Sheep from classes 1 to 5.
A Silver Salver kindly donated by the late Miss E E Brown will be awarded to the Champion Native Cross Bred Sheep from classes 7 to 9.
The Frank Hedley Challenge Cup awarded to the Champion Native Pure Bred Sheep from classes 10 to 19.
The George Robert Harrison Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the Champion Sheep Young Handler
Armstrong Richardson Trophy will be awarded to the Champion Pet Lamb
Tinsley Challenge Cup will be awarded to The Overall Sheep Champion

Class 20 – Best Sheep Young Handler 8 years and under (to be judged on the handling,
knowledge and turnout of handler and animal)
Class 21 – Best Sheep Young handler 9 years to 14 years (to be judged on handling,
knowledge and turnout of handler and animal)
Class 22 – Best Pet Lamb to be shown by 8 years and under. Lamb not to be shown in any
other class and will have to be led.
Class 23 – Best Pet Lamb to be shown by 9 years to 14 years. Lamb not to be shown in any
other class and will have to be led.
PET LAMBS NOT TO BE SHOWN IN ANY OTHER CLASS AND WILL HAVE TO BE LED
