Class 82 Handwriting – Year 1 & under

Everyone runs to fill their water guns, their pistols and spurters. Splish, splosh, splash! Eek! Squeak! Shriek!

Nick Sharratt “Splash Day”

Class 83 Handwriting – Year 2

‘Oh Pleaaaase can we go?’ Ava begged on her knees. ‘Squish has never seen clowns! Or a swinging trapeze! Or a fancy – pants lady who breathes out real fire! Or a man doing cartwheels, high up on a wire!’

Pip Jones – Squishy McFluff

Class 84 Handwriting – Year 3

So we all started RUNNING and EVERYONE was running as fast as they could and it was NECK AND NECK between Jayden King and Megan McNally when all of a sudden we heard LOUD CLUCKING and the CHICKEN appeared … And Joel Jack shouted, “Look! She’s headed for the finishing line! She’s RACING US!”

Pamela Butchart – Wigglesbottom Primary

Class 85 Handwriting – Year 4

Bertie clattered up the steps on the coach. It was the day of the school trip. Bertie loved going on trips. He loved the coach ride there, the packed lunches and pulling faces at passing cars. He loved drawing on the windows, stuffing crisps and fizzy drinks – and being sick on the way home. Best of all, a trip meant a whole day without boring lessons. No mouldy maths or dreary spelling! No hours of listening to Miss Boot droning on and on.

David Roberts – Dirty Berties Bogeys!

Class 86 Handwriting – Year 5

I’ve got some questions about the Noah’s Ark story, though. For starters, I wanna know why Noah let venomous creatures like snakes and scorpions on board. Because, if it was ME, I would’ve used the opportunity to leave a few of those guys BEHIND. And then I would’ve used the extra space for more of the GOOD animals, like puppies and hedgehogs and those pygmy hippopotamuses. But it doesn’t make a lot of sense that Noah let BIRDS on the ark, since they could’ve jut FLOWN. And I bet he regretted that decision right away. You only hear about the animals that survived the flood. But sometimes wonder if there were some cool animals that DIDN’T.

Jeff Kinney – Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Class 87 Handwriting – Year 6

Dear Harry, Happy Birthday!

Look, I’m really sorry about the telephone call. I hope the Muggles didn’t give you a hard time. Its brilliant here in Egypt. Bill’s taken us round all the tombs and you wouldn’t believe the curses those old Egyptian wizards put on them. Mum wouldn’t let Ginny come on the last one. There were all these mutant skeletons in there, of Muggles who’d broken in and grown extra heads and stuff.

We’ll be back about a week before term starts and we’ll be going up to London to get my wand and our new books. Any chance of meeting you there?

Don’t let the Muggles get you down!

Try and come to London,

Ron

P.S. Percy’s Head Boy. He got the letter last week

J.K. Rowling – the Prisoner of Azkaban

Don’t let the Muggles get you down!

Try and come to London,

Ron
