Classes will be conducted under current DEFRA regulations.
Judging commences for Cattle at 10.00am
Exhibitor to remove all bedding before leaving the Show field.
Trophies will be presented by the judges in the livestock Secretaries tent after judging.
Cups to be held for one year only.
No Grand Parade of cattle.

Trophies: Hallmark Shield: Donated by Lucyland Blondes awarded to the Overall
Interbreed Champion animal in the cattle section.
The Robert Brown Bowl: Donated by the late R Brown Esq awarded for the best pair of
Cattle (pedigree or commercial) in the Show, the property of one owner.
The George Marley Salver: awarded to the Best Beef Animal shown in either the Pedigree, Native or Commercial classes by an exhibitor residing within a 5 miles radius of Sedgefield.
Seagrave Trophy: Donated by Janie’s Pantry awarded to the best overall Continental animal.
A Silver Challenge Cup: Donated by the late Mrs Ramsden OBE and awarded to the
Best Cross Bred Heifer.
A Perpetual Challenge Cup: Donated by E B Hopkinson Esq and awarded to the Best
Cross Bred Steer.
The Ralph Holmes Trophy: Will be awarded to the Best Cross Bred Calf.
Hays Travel Young Handlers Trophy: Will be awarded to the Champion Cattle Young Handler.
The Ted Pinkney Trophy: Will be presented to the Overall Pedigree Champion.
The Native Champion Cup: Will be presented to the Overall Native Cattle Champion.
Sedgefield Challenge Cup: Will be presented to Overall Commercial Beef Champion.

Class 3 Any Continental Maiden Heifer
Class 4 Best Pair of Continental Animals (Owned by the same exhibitor)
Classes may by amalgamated or split dependent on entries
Class 5 Any Native Bull – Any Age
Class 6 Any Native Cow or Heifer, in calf or with calf at foot.
Class 7 Any Native Maiden Heifer
Class 8 Best Pair of Native Animals (Owned by the same exhibitor)
Classes may be amalgamated or split dependent on entries.
Class 9 Best Cross Bred Heifer
Class 10 Best Cross Bred Steer
Class 11 Best Cross Bred Pair (Owned by the same exhibitor)
Class 12 Best Cross Bred Calf born 1st January 2025 onwards

Class 13 Beef Cattle Young Handler 13 years and under (To be judged on the handling and knowledge of the animal)
Class 14 Beef Cattle Young Handler 14 years to 18 years (to be judged on the handling and knowledge of the animal)
No bulls or horned cattle to be used.
